Global Compact Principles
Businesses should:
- Uphild the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining (principle no.3)
- Uphold the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour (principle no.4)
- Uphold the effective abolition of child labour (principle no.5)
- Uphold the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment or occupation (principle no.6)
Significant Action in 2009
A second agreement on the corporate responsibility of EDF Group has been signed unanimously by the EDF CEO and all trade union federations for the period 2009-2013. The Group has thus renewed its commitment to comply with and ensure compliance with the ILO Fundamental Conventions in all the companies controlled by it.

Since 2008, EDF Group has organised a Diversity Day on World Cultural Diversity Day for dialogue and development, established by UNESCO. In 2009, Diversity Day focussed on the diversity of ages, with themes such as maintaining know-how within the company and the integration of young recruits and people with disabilities.
