Dalkia, European leader in energy-related services. |
EDF-Trading (EDF-T) has become one of Europe's leading energy traders. Created on December 31, 1999, by EDF and Louis Dreyfus, EDF-Trading's electricity transactions totalled 60 TWh in 2000.
The company also traded 10 million tons of coal and the equivalent of 100 TWh of gas. By the end of 2001, EDF-Trading's electricity transactions are expected to quadruple.

EDF and Vivendi Environnement have joined forces in Dalkia, a leading international energy service company active in 24 countries.
Dalkia will provide customers with cutting edge multi-energy and multi-service offers. Today, 20 000 hospitals, schools and buildings already use Dalkia's heating services. The company also provides over 2 500 industrial customers with energy-related services and facility management. The joint venture is a very promising large-scale industrial venture.
EDF's service subsidiaries, Clemessy (services), Séchaud et Metz (electrical engineering), Cogétherm (co-generation), and Citélum (lighting) will be integrated into the new company.
With 30 000 employees and estimated sales of Euros 4 bn, Dalkia clearly gives EDF a competitive edge.
The EDF Group is now in a stronger position to provide customers with global services.

Developing the European-wide flexibility and synergies required to respond to the needs of major customers is one of EDF's priorities. The idea is to pool and combine the know-how and resources of the group's affiliate companies - London Electricity (UK), STEWEAG (Austria), Graninge (Sweden), Atel (Switzerland) and EnBW (Germany) - in effective ways.

In France, our sales forces mobilized to address the needs of eligible customers. Our longstanding relationship with our major French customers paid off. Among others, Renault and the car equipment manufacturer Valeo have officially recognized EDF as one of their best international suppliers.

The Large Customers Division is moving forward to certify its front and back offices for quality. Customer reception is already certified ISO 9002, and all the activities of the Services Support Department activities have been certified ISO 9001. The Division is actively working towards Total Quality Management (TQM) certification.
