Every 2 years, the EDF group organises its Sustainable Development Trophies, an internal competition that focuses upon innovation in the sustainable development field.
For the 2009/2010 competition, staff from 23 Group companies put forward a total of 538 initiatives covering the main challenges that face EDF:
- Caring for customers and local communities;
- Climate change;
- Energy efficiency;
- Environmental protection and biodiversity;
- Social and ethical corporate responsibility.
At the end of the competition, 19 initiatives received awards from juries comprised of internal experts and international figures from throughout the Group.
