EDF, partenaire officiel de l'équipe de France Olympique

The 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games will be an opportunity for EDF to confirm its commitment to the French National Olympic and Sporting Committee (CNOSF) and to share certain values with the world of Olympism - team spirit, performance and solidarity.

The XXIst Winter Olympics are to be hosted at competition sites in Vancouver and Whistler in Canada from 12th to 28th February. As part of this great Olympic event, EDF is supporting athletes in the French team as they aim for new medals, headed this year by the flag-bearer Vincent Defrasne, Olympic pursuit champion in Turin in 2006.

The French delegation is especially hoping for results in the ski and ice events with Julien Lizeroux, Marie Marchand-Arvier and Sandrine Auberten for Alpine skiing, Jason Lamy Chapuis for Nordic combined, Pierre Vaultier for snow board, Vincent Defrasne for the biathlon or Brian Joubert for figure skating.

EDF's commitment to sport is that of a European energy provider, heavily involved in sustainable development and the fight against global warming, a commitment federating the whole Group ahead of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London in 2012, of which EDF is an official sponsor and sustainable development partner.

And from 12th to 21st March, the Paralympic Games...

The Xth Winter Paralympic Games will be held from 12th to 21st March on the same Vancouver and Whistler sites in Canada.
On the agenda: 650 athletes, 40 countries and 5 disciplines: alpine ski, cross-country, biathlon, ice sledge hockey and wheelchair curling. Cyril Moré (photo) employee and member of the EDF Team takes up a challenge with the French athletes of paralympic alpine skiing.
